Aluma Sport 716 Photos
Rear view of the Aluma Sport 716 on the trailer. We designed this boat with extended flotation for maximum buoyancy to accommodate the 25-horsepower motor. However, like all of our pontoon models, this boat does not need a 25-HP motor to move across the water. A motor as small as a 5 HP can move this craft with ease.
Our standard heavy-duty motor mount with a 12-degree angle is rated to accept electric trolling motors and any gas-powered outboard up to 25 HP. Heavy duty 3/8’’ stainless steel tie-down U-bolts are located on each side of the motor mount to assure secure hold-downs for travel.
As you can see in this close-up of the floor, all floor planking has been knurled, which gives it a grip to walk on to help assure safe footing. This is in no way uncomfortable for the bare foot. This same process is done to all our Aluma Sport models.

Note: When mounting the front trolling motor on the 716, always take precautions while raising and lowering the motor before and after use. It will perform fine when lowered, but there is a slight clearance issue between the two inside logs as you drop or pull the motor and prop it up and down. This can and will vary with trolling motors.

With purchasing, this is our new trailer you will receive as of 2021. It is manufactured specifically for the Hotwood's pontoon line by Mid America trailers. The quality is second to none. It comes in baked on powder coat black paint. Galvanized is no longer an option on the trailers.

Aluma Sport 716 is shown on the optional trailer above that has been customized to fit the full line of Hotwood’s pontoon boats. This trailer makes pulling your 716 down the road a breeze. In most cases, you will hardly know you are towing anything. Combined towing weight is 1,275 pounds. You can purchase your 716 with or without a trailer as shown. The boat above is shown with 20'' handrails on the front and 34" on the rear and standard bench seat.

You can see the engineering and type of quality that goes into our Aluma Sport 716 in this photo, where one is being assembled in our factory. With this substructure and flooring, you will never have any issues concerning the longevity or performance of this craft. It is completely aluminum with stainless steel hardware.

At Hotwood's we are not interested in second place when it comes to stability, quality, or craftsmanship.

As you see with this customer's 716 Aluma Sport, it is possible to have chairs or tables anywhere you want with all the available floor space. This is a great example of what your 716 could look like on the water with a few added accessories.

We want to introduce Allan Randa from Loveland, Colorado. Allan previously owned one of our 615 Aluma Sports and decided to sell it a while back, as he went through a terrible bout with cancer and did not know if he would be needing it any longer. But guess what? After extensive treatments, Allan is ready to get back out on the water with his new Aluma Sport 716 we made with custom height 42'' handrails that will help him with stability on the water. Needless to say, Allan is one happy man that now feels good and is ready to pull in the big one on the local lake. We could not be happier for Allan as it is stories like his that make everything we do here at Hotwood’s worth coming to work for.

You will find towing this 716 on one of our custom-designed trailers is a snap as together you are only hauling around 1500 pounds depending on how you have it equipped.
