Aluma Sport 716 Photos
Rear view of the Aluma Sport 716 on the trailer. We designed this boat with extended flotation for maximum buoyancy to accommodate the 25-horsepower motor. However, like all of our pontoon models, this boat does not need a 25-HP motor to move across the water. A motor as small as a 5 HP can move this craft with ease.
Our standard heavy-duty motor mount with a 12-degree angle is rated to accept electric trolling motors and any gas-powered outboard up to 25 HP. Heavy duty 3/8’’ stainless steel tie-down U-bolts are located on each side of the motor mount to assure secure hold-downs for travel.
As you can see in this close-up of the floor, all floor planking has been knurled, which gives it a grip to walk on to help assure safe footing. This is in no way uncomfortable for the bare foot. This same process is done to all our Aluma Sport models.

Note: When mounting the front trolling motor on the 716, always take precautions while raising and lowering the motor before and after use. It will perform fine when lowered, but there is a slight clearance issue between the two inside logs as you drop or pull the motor and prop it up and down. This can and will vary with trolling motors.
