Ice Eater
This ice eater is the ultimate tool to keep your lake open for water fowl hunting, along with protecting your docks and boats lifts in the coldest of winters.
Our Ice Eater is designed to prevent new and existing ice from forming around boats, marinas, docks, and piers. Ice Eater's propeller draws warmer subsurface water up and deflects it to the surface, creating a constant circulation of warmer water that prevents ice formation.
We have customers that use our Ice Eater to aerate their lakes and ponds all summer long, as well as using it to keep ice off in the winter months. We all know what happens to the fish when the water gets stagnant in a small pond or lake.
Ice Eater will melt existing ice. Unlike other de-icing units, our Ice Eater requires no additional hardware in order to obtain the desired de-icing pattern. Our Ice Eater is shipped complete with suspension lines. It can be taken out of the box, hung from a dock or boat, and plugged in. Two to three feet is our Ice Eater’s average operating depth.
Features
The design of the Ice Eater's venturi shroud (housing), with outwardly flared ends, provides more upward thrust and draws warmer water from greater depths than other conventional de-icers.
The shroud is submersible below the surface vertically. A set of mounting holes at opposite positions on the flange allows the lines to be attached.
Our units are designed to agitate fresh or salt water at maximum efficiency in all climatic conditions.
Our energy-efficient Ice Eater will agitate more water than any de-icer on the market today.
