Poly Electric Fence Winder

The Poly 36-XL has been designed to roll high tensile wire or all types of poly electric fence from the ½” to 2” poly tape to poly wire, rope, or braided poly—plus many more!

This new 36” diameter reel is designed from the original High Tensile Winder with the same diameter center cone. The Poly Electric Fence reel is 36” diameter x 9” deep to center cone x 5” wide inside. It has all-steel construction with a premium powder coat finish. This reel can easily be adapted to fit your standard 3-Point Hydraulic Wire Winder with the addition of the 8 inch 3” x 3” spacer tube that comes with the kit, along with the 3” round tube spacer that mounts on the shaft ahead of the 1” nut.
This reel kit can be purchased separately or as a unit complete with a tool bar, hydraulic motor, and hoses, as you can see on the left.
The 8” extension on the motor mount arm is an easy bolt-on if your winder is one of our later models that features the bolt-on arm. Cutting and welding will apply if you have an older unit that is welded solid on the tool bar.

If you already have a 3 point hydraulic wire winder manufactured by us you only need to order the kit that includes the 3 items in this photo as it will bolt right onto your existing unit. NOTE: Since this unit has been designed to roll up poly wire, tape and rope, our standard wire guide arm will not work with this reel.

It is easy to see the difference in size of our new XL Poly reel when placing it next to our original 20” diameter yellow reels. In this photo you can see the 3” round red spacer on the end of the shaft just ahead of the 1” nut. Using this spacer, you will not need to change the original drive shaft to mount your XL Poly reel on your 3-point hydraulic unit. As with any of our reels, you will want to place the tie-off wires in the reel before you roll your product so you can tie the reel off before splitting the two-piece XL Poly reel. You will do that by lining the two holes across from each other—as you see on the edge of the reel—and forming a light wire down in the reel and up each side wrapped back down through those holes. You will need to do that in four locations on the reel.

As you can see in this photo, this is an all-steel spun 2-piece cone reel just like our original standard high tensile unit, only much larger. The center cone is the same size as your standard high tensile reels of wire that you would purchase when you buy a new roll of wire.
