L095 Coupler Spyder Gear

This gear fits between the two coupler halves that are on the motor shaft and the reel shaft of the 3-point wire winder.
Made of high density rubber, it is design to take the start-up shock out of the machine when it's put in motion.
Takes about ten minutes to change one. It also helps with coupler half alignment.
These Spyder gears have a long life span, but depending on how much you use your winder, it is not uncommon to keep an extra one on hand.

L095 Coupler Gear Half

Two coupler gear halves per unit fit together with the rubber Spyder gear between them. Made for our 3-point wire winder.
When ordering, the image above is what you will get if you order one half of the coupler.
If you change the gear half on the motor shaft, you will want to change the one on the reel shaft. It is recommended to change out the rubber Spyder gear at the same time as the coupler halves.
When replacing the coupler half on the motor, it only takes an Allen wrench to tighten the set screw down on the keyed motor shaft. When replacing the coupler half on the shaft you will need to drill a 5/16” hole through the coupler to replace the 5/16” roll pin through the coupler and shaft. It takes about thirty minutes to replace both coupler halves.

NB 55 Shaft Bushings

This is a set of bushings that replace damaged or worn shaft bushings on your Hotwood’s 3-point wire winder.
These moly impregnated polyethylene bushings are the same ones we developed in 1987 to use on our 3-point model wire winders. They will fit any 3-point unit you have that was ever made by Pro-Tatch Inc./Hotwood's since 1987.
Takes about 15 minutes to replace them.

Use these tool bars with our hydraulic wire winders. We have seen them used with a receiver hitch welded to them and so many more working applications.
When you order a 3-point tool bar kit, you will get just what you see here with the exception of ordering it with either category 1 or 2 draw bar pins. This unit is shown with category 2 draw bar pins.
These bars will have the 5” x 5” plate welded to the back side that we bolt our wire winder motor mount arms on when this unit is sold.

This is what your stand will look like without the wire winder on it.
We have added a flat bar on the side of the stand to make the unit more ridged as shown in above photo. This is an upgrade that is very easy to add to your existing stand yourself.
Here at Hotwood's, we understand that there are many customers that want to keep their wire winders off the ground—out of the dirt and elements—and maintain an organized shop. Our Wire Winder Stand was designed to do just that while the unit is not in use.
How many times do you go to use your winder in the winter, and a small part of it is frozen to the ground? This stand will eliminate that issue.
With this stand, it is much easier to hook up the winder to your tractor as you will not have to bend down to the ground to pick the winder up to the 3-point arms.
Not only will this stand make your shop more organized with your fencing supplies, but it will serve as the location the winder should always be when not in use.
